Helpful Hints

Todays installment is full of helpful tips:
When you go on a trip never get directions for you destination taking one particular route then decide to take a different route. I say this because you could run into such problems as the other people in the car saying I think we might have driven too far is there a map? Then you look at the map and you notice the city you are supposed to arrive in is now southwest of your current location and when you started driving 5hrs earlier the city was north of you.
Another bit of advice I have learned and would like ot pass onto you is if you are in Monterrey, Ca. and want to go for a ride during the second half of the day it might be a good idea to pack some wool gloves, arm warmers, leg warmers a vest and a podium cap. Now you will not need these for most of your ride, but as soon as you see the fog start appear this means that the temperature is about to drop low enough to where you will loose dexterity in your hands and you will begin to get the shivers. I am just saying it can get cold on the Pacific Ocean in the evenings. At the same time, the Pacific Ocean can be beautiful.
When doing a hot race make sure that if you have a person feeding you in a race, to tell you if they are handing you a bottle of water ora bottle with some sugary mix (i.e. accelerade, cytomax etc.). This because if you are needing to spray yourself due to the extreem tempuratures and the bottle is full of some type of mix, the cool liquid will feel really nice but then there will be the problem of getting really stick and all the dust and dirt in the air will then stick to you creating a mess. On the note of hot races, if you have some type of protien in your bottles Please, I say Please do not let those bottles or the mix inside get hot when you consume it. That is all I am going to say about that.

In the words of Mr. T. "Drink your Milk", "Go to School" and that is all for this advice column.

Too funny! Sounds like a weekend of adventures! Hope all is well. I know, I know, I still owe you the camera. One day! We need to figure out a problem it was having last time Todd tried to use it.

the fog is awsome, but would hate to have to navigate a ship in it.
