PCH = Pacific Coast Highway (Cali. Lingo) This is where most of my ride took place starting in Santa Monica and going out to Big Rock and then heading back to town.
Today was another day where rain was expected. After rolling away from the start of the ride the sky's cleared then it began to rain just as my ride companions and I began to get comfortable with the weather conditions. This was the reoccurring theme for the day. Rain then sun over and over until finally at the end when the two other guys I was riding with turned off to head back to where they were staying and I decided to go climb another hill (mandville: 5 mile climb @ 5% incline). The climb was going well all the way to the top. When I turned around I could feel the rain begin to come back down. Then I was thinking man this rain kind of hurts, just then I realized it was hailing. Yes, that is right hailing and I was doing everything I could to keep it out of my eyes. Just when I was thinking I should probably get out of the mess, I also began to think. If I stop I will just get really cold, as if I was not already. Luckily the base of this climb is only about 10 minutes from the house so I was just about done and looking forward to some lunch, and that is where I am now.
