Many aplogies

So the posting has not been going as smoothly as it should be, but until recently I have not had sufficient access to the internet. So, let me try and update you on the past few weeks.
Shortly after Tour de Nez, ok so the monday following Nez Anthony, Markus and myself climbed into the van with the trailer in tow and began the journey from Santa Monica to Rhode Island. We left the house at 5am so as to miss the L.A. traffic. This first day was a long one where we drove all the way to Vail, CO. We spent the night with one of Anthonys college roomates. The follwoing morning we awoke at 7am and were gone on the road again. Driving until about 8pm that night which put us in St. Louis. Since we had been in the car for way too long in the past two days Markus and I climbed on our bikes to spin our legs out for a short bit. When we were done we climbed into bed and began the routine again to Indanapolis, where we arrived around 4:30 and were able to put a couple hour ride in. This ride felt so good. Not only because we were able to get out of the car but also because we were able to get into the country and just spin and also put in some tempo work to open the legs up a bit. After the ride we were back at Anthonys roomates parents house. The dinner was really nice out on the back porch just relaxing.
For the next morning we had grand plans to get up early again and hit the road. As you can guess we did not make it out of the house until about 10am. Mostly because when we woke up there was an awsome breakfast and this caused us to get into a relaxing mode. Seeing as we were off schedule we did not arrive into Rhode Island until about 1:30am the next day.
Now that we made our way to Rhode island we have a day off until we need to start racing, just around the corner from Brown Univ., downtown Providence.
After having a day to relax out of the car and get a little riding in and look at the course we were ready to go.
The first night of racing went pretty well for me. I was able to get into the main breakaway that looked like it was going to stick and I was feeling pretty good. Then the last minute our break got caught and I missed the counter attack of three guys that stuck. I was happy that my legs were coming back around.
The second race we did, I was able to play an active role in and made my way into a few breaks that stuck for a while here and there, then a break was down the road after my last move came back and it looked like it was coming back for sure, then the rain started but I knew I still had time to move back inot position for the final laps. Until the thunder and lightning started which cut the race down by 8 laps which blew my whole plan and I was stuck in the middle.

Come back for more.

Matt
